The potential negative side effects caused by using Methandrostenolone are well known.
Although it does have lower androgenic strength when compared to Testosterone, there are some side effects.
The chemical structure of Methandrostenolone has been modified to give it a lower rating for androgenic activity, but it still does have some androgenic activity.
Users should be cautioned that even though it does have less androgenic strength, this doesn’t mean that it should be taken lightly or that the potential for Methandrostenolone side effects occurring should be underestimated. Click here to buy legal D-BAL online, without a prescription.
There is a comprehensive list of negative side effects that are associated with all anabolic steroids.
Some anabolic steroids have their own unique side effects, which are determined by their own particular compound.
Methandrostenolone does not have any unique side effects of its own, but because it is an anabolic steroid, it does of course have the same potential for causing the side effects that are common to all anabolic steroids.
The universal negative side effects common to all anabolic steroids are as follows:
• Androgenic side effects
• Estrogenic side effects
• Cardiovascular side effects
• Liver toxicity (Hepatotoxic) side effects
• Hypothalamic Pituitary Testicular Axis (HPTA) suppressive side effects
Methandrostenolone is much weaker in terms of androgenic strength than Testosterone, and was intentionally developed this way.
But this doesn’t mean that the potential for androgenic activity should be underestimated or minimized.
Methandrostenolone does pose the risk of androgenic side effects and these can appear in cycles.
The typical ones that show up are pretty much the same as those occurring with the use of most the other anabolic steroids:
• Sebum production is increased, causing oily skin and acne
• Excessive hair growth
• Male pattern baldness if user is already predisposed genetically for this
For female users of Methandrostenolone, the typical side effects of virilization can occur:
• Clitoral growth
• Developing various male characteristics
• Deepening of the voice
• Excessive growth of hair
The side effects caused by androgenic activity are not as pronounced as would occur with hormones such as Trenbolone or Testosterone, but they still can be noticeable.
Those that have a tendency toward experiencing such side effects from using Methandrostenolone and want to combat them can use a 5-Alpha Reductase (5AR) inhibitor, like Proscar or Finasteride.
These particular compounds act to inhibit the 5AR enzyme in a similar fashion as aromatase inhibitors in combating the aromatase effect. They block the ability of the enzyme to convert into a stronger androgenic metabolite.
Methandrostenolone really doesn’t have much of a binding attraction for the 5AR enzyme, so there is a limited potential for androgenic side effects that can be caused by Methandrostenolone itself, as opposed to the stronger androgenic metabolite.
Using a topical androgen blocker, perhaps a shampoo called Nizoral can therefore combat this.
If this shampoo is rubbed on the areas where there is a risk of side effects, such as areas of excessive oily skin or acne or maybe on the scalp to prevent male pattern baldness, this can stop the androgens from actually binding to the receptors in those areas of the body.
Methandrostenolone does cause a moderate amount of aromatization since it does moderately interact with aromatase enzymes, the one that converts androgens into Estrogen.
So this does cause the potential for Estrogenic side effects. One of the main side effects that users need to be concerned about in this regard is gynecomastia, which is the enlargement of breasts in men.
This is known as a common risk factor and has been reported by users. When using higher doses, this increases the risk.
When Methandrostenolone is combined with Testosterone, another anabolic steroid that aromatizes, this can potentiate gynecomastia.
The recommendation is to use it with an aromatase inhibitor to combat this effect. If not, then at least a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) should be used to block the potential activity of Estrogen in the breasts.
Methandrostenolone users should keep an aromatase inhibitor and/or a SERM on hand at all times when using the steroid. Toremifene and Nolvadex are SERMs that are known for being effective blockers of Estrogen from binding to and thus activating the receptors in breast tissue.
However neither of these reduces the total amount of Estrogen in blood plasma in the body. This means that there are other side effects that can occur, such as bloating, even when using a SERM to combat gynecomastia.
Arimidex (Anastrozole) or Aromasin (Exemestane) are two different aromatase inhibitors and either one can act on aromatase enzymes to disable them and prevent the conversion of androgens into Estrogen.
Using an aromatase inhibitor (AI) actually reduces the total Estrogen levels throughout the body and should take care of any other Estrogenic problems and adverse effects caused by Methandrostenolone converting to Estrogen, like water retention that cannot be resolved by using a SERM.
Using Methandrostenolone can cause a strain on the cardiovascular system. This side effect commonly occurs when using any anabolic steroid.
What happens is that the good cholesterol (HDL) in the body is reduced and the bad cholesterol (LDL) in the body is increased.
This causes an increased risk of developing arteriosclerosis. The degree of the risk depends on the dose being taken. Higher doses of Methandrostenolone cause a higher risk of these negative side effects.
The other things that affect this risk are how long you take Methandrostenolone and the route of administration.
Regarding this last one, anabolic steroids taken orally have a higher risk of causing problems with cholesterol when compared to using injectable steroids.
This is because when taken orally, the liver is affected. Since the liver processes and produces the body’s cholesterol, any increase in toxicity to the liver will negatively impact cholesterol levels in the body.
This is why it’s so important for anyone using anabolic steroids, oral or injectable; take excellent care of their health, especially when it comes to their diet.
They need to maintain control of the cholesterol in their diet and watch for any changes in the levels in their body, and certainly when in the midst of a cycle.
Because of Methandrostenolone’s makeup as a C17-Alpha Alkylated orally administered anabolic steroid, the risk of liver toxicity is always a concern.
The C17-Alpha Alkylation means that it is essentially absorbed orally in the body placing a certain amount of strain on the liver.
If someone takes Methandrostenolone for prolonged periods of time and/or in high doses there can be severe damage done to the liver or at the very least, severe liver complications.
The recommended duration for taking Methandrostenolone is no longer than 6 weeks at a time. This avoids the negative hepatotoxic side effects, allowing the liver time to recover.
Another recommendation is that anyone using Methandrostenolone use a supplement or compound to support their liver. We can suggest UDCA/TUDCA to properly maintain the health of your liver.
There are results of studies that show that with Methandrostenolone doses of 15mg a day or more there is an elevated bromosulphalein level, which is an indication of liver strain.
With doses of 10mg or less a day, there was evidence of just minimal liver strain.
In summary, there are some significant benefits to using Methandrostenolone, which should be kept in mind when discussing the potential negative effects.
• Brings about an incredible improvement in the synthesis of protein which assists in rapidly building muscle strength
• Produces a healthy gain in weight by increasing muscle mass
• Sets off the body’s own ability to build muscle while at the same time burning fat
• Disrupts carbohydrate catabolism
• Helps in the synthesis of proteins in the muscles during intense or stressful workouts
• Results begin appearing as rapidly as two weeks with an increase in muscle mass and density
• Does not increase the risk of certain negative side effects such as erectile dysfunction, acne or gynecomastia
Ultimately, it is up to you to use this steroid responsibly and avoid the possible Methandrostenolone side effects that are reported.
